As we’re getting close to the release of Stranger Things season 4, fans are very excited about what to rewatch. Here are our top five suggestions.

Stranger Things is a hugely famous sci-fi/action series that’s on Netflix right now. It does not really need much introduction at this point with millions of viewers waiting for its next season. The last season was released in July 2019, and we’re still waiting for the next one. Fortunately, they’re pretty close to call it a wrap and move on to the post-production process. If everything goes according to the plans, we can expect an early-mid 2022 release date for Stranger Things season 4.

ATTENTION: Stranger Things season 3 spoilers ahead!

We’ll still have to wait after the filming wrap before we can watch the fourth season, so it’s always good to check out some older episodes. Here are the five best-rated episodes of Stranger Things in its three seasons according to IMDb. Three of them come from the second season, so you might as well watch the whole season. One more thing to note is the episodes are usually finales of seasons, so we can say the crew gives us very beautiful pieces of work at the end of the seasons. Without further ado, let’s check what episodes those are.

Season 2 – Episode 6: The Spy (9.2)

The first entry on our list is The Spy, which is the sixth episode of Stranger Things’ second season. In that episode, Will is sent to the hospital to figure out what’s wrong with him, even though the attempts are in vain. Meanwhile, Dustin and Steve find that Dart, Dustin’s pet demogorgon, managed to escape by digging a hole. Dustin and his friends try to bring Dart back by using a piece of meat as bait. However, more demogorgons come and trap them.

Season 3 – Episode 8: The Battle of Starcourt (9.2)

The Battle of Starcourt, which marks the ending of season 3, is a brilliant and action-packed episode. In that episode, Hopper, Joyce, and Murray go to the Russian base to activate the keys. Meanwhile, Eleven and her friends try to take shelter from the Mind Flayer in the Starcourt Mall.

Season 1 – Episode 8: The Upside Down (9.3)

And here’s another season finale. This time it’s The Upside Down, which is the last episode in the first season. In the episode, Dr. Brenner and his agents interrogate Hopper and Joyce. Meanwhile, Jonathan and Nancy set up a trap to kill the monster while Steve joins them. Brenner and his agents try to get Eleven from the school, but she reacts.

Season 2 – Episode 8: The Mind Flayer (9.3)

The second season’s eighth episode is a thrilling one as the demogorgons invade the laboratory. There’s a complete blackout that Hopper and Bob try to eliminate.

Season 2 – Episode 9: The Gate (9.4)

The best episode of Stranger Things so far according to IMDb is the last episode of the second season, titled The Gate. That’s just after The Mind Flayer, which we just talked about. The episode, in which Eleven utters her iconic like “Bitchin,” includes the protagonists’ attempt to kill the monster in Will by increasing the temperature, as we know that it does not like heat.
