‘Loki’ Honest Trailer Compares Tom Hiddleston Series To ‘Rick And Morty’

The Honest Trailer for Tom Hiddleston’s Loki has compared the Marvel series to Rick and Morty.

Now that pretty much everyone who cares about the Marvel Cinematic Universe has seen Loki and its awesome finale, the folks at Screen Junkies have released their Honest Trailer for the Tom Hiddleston series. Rounding out at over eight minutes long, the Loki Trailer is filled to the brim with cheeky references to other shows and properties, not unlike the actual series itself.

A majority of the Honest Trailer points out how similar Loki is to other properties like The Matrix and Rick and Morty. Fans clearly saw that the finale of the Tom Hiddleston series bears a striking resemblance to the final two Matrix films when Neo encounters The Architect. However, the new Honest Trailer acknowledges just how similar the show is to Rick and Morty. It’s not surprising that the animated series influenced Marvel’s latest as lead writer Michael Waldron worked on some of Rick and Morty‘s most memorable moments.

The trailer also does a great job of pointing out the various in-universe inconsistencies that Loki creates but we’ll let you watch the trailer to come to your own conclusions!

Here is the synopsis for Loki:

In Marvel Studios’ “Loki,” the mercurial villain Loki (Tom Hiddleston) resumes his role as the God of Mischief in a new series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.”

Directed by Kate Herron, with Michael Waldron serving as head writer, the new series stars Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, Owen Wilson, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.

Loki season one is now streaming on Disney Plus. Stay tuned for all the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
