There’s much more than you can imagine to the background of everything that’s going on.

If you haven’t watched The Social Dilemma yet, you can check out its trailer below. Let us tell you more about the documentary so that you can decide whether to watch it or pass it.

About The Social Dilemma

The Social Dilemma made its way to Netflix on September 9th, 2020. Being a Sundance documentary, this Emmy-nominated production stands on a 7,6 IMDb rating, which is not bad at all. Many viewers think that it’s worth watching, however, some of them find the dramatization a bit cheap. Still, The Social Dilemma is clearly a thought-provoking documentary in which you can see a part of yourself. It focuses on the effect of social media on us, humans, after all.

The good thing is the documentary features some interviews with the best people in the field. Nobody knows how social media control people better than the creators of it. Justin Rosenstein, who is the co-inventor of the famous “Like” button of Facebook; Tim Kendall, who was the President of Pinterest and a high-level director at Facebook; Cathy O’Neil, who’s the author of Weapons of Math Destruction; Rashida Richardson, who’s a director at the AI Now Institute, are featured in The Social Dilemma. They shed light on the business models of social media platforms, which try everything to keep people hooked. They are the original creators of the whole thing, after all.

If you’re interested enough, you can watch the whole documentary below. It takes 1 hour and 33 minutes. Let us remind you again that the documentary is leaving YouTube at the end of this September.
