The last season of a series can be nerve-wracking for the creators and the fans. If you have invested your time in a series, you expect it to repay your investment. And Ozark season 4 part 1 has done it for the fans. But now fans wonder when Netflix will announce the release date of Ozark season 4 part 2.

Some fans have made their predictions for the upcoming part of Ozark, before the release of part 1. So, let us put their theories to the test and see if they stand true after the release of part 1.

Ozark part 2 theories and plot expectations

Season 4 part 1ended with Darlene’s and Wyatt’s deaths, which has enraged Ruth, who will be out to seek revenge. Marty and Wendy have removed their names from Javier’s hit list. All thanks to Wendy, who has tricked Javier with the help of Omar Navarro, the leader of the cartel, who is in prison. Thus, things can go wrong at any moment in the last part, if Javier finds out the truth.

One theory on Reddit has gained a lot of support from fellow users. The user commented that only one character survives the entire saga. “I think it ends like it started with everybody but one person dying. I think the survivor is Jonah,” read the comment. “With how Jonah has taken an interest in the laundering process, I could see that foreshadowing the ending,” supported another fan of the series.

The theory is on track for now, but death for everyone seems extreme. Jonah’s involvement has increased in season 4, and the user’s theory might turn out to be true. However, Jonah is also likely to support Ruth in her revenge against Javier, as they have grown close in part 1. But if Ruth dies, Jonah might die saving her, or Javier might kill him out of rage.

Another Reddit user commented, “I can definitely see Marty dying and then the rest of the family getting away with a bunch of money at the end of the series.”

Javier can be responsible for Marty’s death if Wendy’s trick does not work. In a drastic turn of events, there is also a possibility that Ruth kills Marty for helping Omar or Javier indirectly. Thus, fans will hope for Javier’s imprisonment, but it would be too plain for the creators.

Ozark season 4 part 2 release date

All of your predictions and theories will have to wait, as Netflix has not announced the release date. Unfortunately, the next seven episodes of Ozark won’t be available to you anytime soon.

Showrunner Chris Mundy explained his decision to make it a two-part season: “So really the decision has always been between ‘is it four [seasons] or is it five’, and then Netflix hit upon the idea of saying, ‘We’ll do four but we’ll make it long and split it in this way,’ and that felt perfect.”
