Netflix released Rebelde, a reboot of the hit Mexican Telenovela on January 5. Fans have mixed opinions about the new cast of the series. But, Netflix has made changes because the current situation has drastically changed from the time the show first premiered. So, let us look at the new generation of Rebelde.

Rebelde Netflix cast :

Azul Guaita as Jana

Jana is one of the few students at EWS who has made it in the music industry as a pop star. Azul has a head start over Jana, as she started her acting career at the age of one. The actress featured in the soap opera, Clase 406 as a baby Juanita Chavez. Azul’s first proper series was Mi Marido Tiene Familia as Yolotl Rey.

Sources have estimated Azul’s net worth at $2.5 million. The 20-year-old actress has been dating a fellow actor, Sebastian Poza, for the past two years.

Franco Masini as Luka Colucci

Luka is a true rebel as he pursues his passion for music, despite his father forcing him to enroll in a business program. Luka is from Argentina, and Franco shares this detail with his character. Franco started his career at 12 and has theatrical experience. You might have seen Franco as Ivan on Peter Punk on Disney XD.

The 27-year-old actor has used his skills to fit into the role of a teen, Luka. According to sources, Franco has a net worth of around $1 million. Franco’s relationship status is confusing, as some pair the actor with Candelaria Tinelli, and others report him to be single.

Alejandro Puente as Sebas

Sebas is the co-captain of MEP, sharing the powers with Emilia, and is dating Jana. Since Sebas has wooed the most famous girl in EWS, sometimes jealousy gets to his head, especially with Esteban. Alejandro has featured in another Netflix series titled El Club as Santiago, a gay youngster.

The 29-year-old actor joins Franco in the elder group and has earned anywhere between $1 to 5 million. However, the actor prefers to keep his personal life private, so we do not know about his relationship status.

Giovanna Grigio as Emilia Alo

Emilia leads the pack of new students and is blunt to their faces. One expects nothing less from the Queen bee and co-captain of MEP. Giovanna has appeared in the Brazilian soap opera Chiquititas. Apart from acting the actress has also been famous as a host on Band Kids and Best of Brazil.

Sources estimate Giovanna’s net worth at $5 million. The 24-year-old is currently dating singer, Johnny Baroli. Emilia might not see eye to eye with fellow student Jana, but just like Azul Giovanna featured on screen when she was less than a year old.

Sergio Mayer Mori as Esteban Torres

Every school drama depicts a character who struggles financially, which leads to bullying. However, Esteban will only relate to half of this problem as he adapts to the new environment rather quickly. Sergio made his debut in the entertainment industry in 2011, but the US audience will recognize him as Rene from The Patriarch. 

Sergio’s assets have received a valuation of $2 to 3 million. The 23-year-old is currently dating a model, Raquel Chaves. But, the actor has previously dated Natalia Subtil and has a six-year-old daughter with her.

Jeronimo Cantillo as Dixon

The pop genre has overpowered every other genre in EWS. However, Dixon brings in new swag as the lone hip-hop artist in EWS. Dixon does not back down against a bully, which shows his strong attitude. Jeronimo’s claim to fame moment came as Kaleth Morales for the popular Telenovela, Las Morales.

Jeronimo has won nominations for two TVyNovelas Awards. The 28-year-old actor has a net worth of  $1.5 million and is currently dating his Las Morales co-star Vivian Ossa.

Lizeth Selene as Andi

Andi is also a rebel, like Luka, but she has a strained relationship with her mother’s boyfriend. However, Andi quickly makes powerful connections at EWS, as she befriends Emilia. Out of the Netflix Rebelde cast, Lizeth and Andrea made their on-screen debut as late as 2021. The actress featured in Bankrolled, which premiered on July 23, 2021.

According to sources, the 22-year-old earned between $500,000 to $750,000 in 2021. Lizeth also earns through her videos on YouTube. The actress has not disclosed her relationship status.

Andrea Chaparro as MJ

Maria Jose or MJ is the introvert in the group, who struggles to fit in because of her religious upbringing in California. However, all of it might change, as MJ is attracted to Esteban, who we know is a social guy. Andrea entered the industry in 2021, as she was an Instagram influencer. Andrea’s debut role as Ines in the movie The House of Flowers earned her praise.

The 19-year-old has an estimated net worth of $20K, which will increase exponentially as she finds her place in the industry. As it stands, Andrea is not seeing anyone.
