Wrexham AFC is everyone’s favorite underdog story. And the only ones to thank for that are none other than Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. One of the oldest football clubs in the world, Wrexham, was lagging behind and was past its glory days when the duo took over. However, the push from the duo and the Welcome to Wrexham documentary provided global exposure to the Welsh team. And the rest is history. The fifth-tier team is eyeing to level up and is currently leading the National League. But wait that is not all, the welsh team is supposed to play against Manchester United in their next game!

Wrexham AFC is going high profile! The club tweeted that they are taking on the Red Devils in the Premier League. This also marks their first time visiting the United States of America. The match will take place on July 25 at the Snapdragon stadium, formerly named Qualcomm Stadium. The Canadian retweeted the post with the caption: “Coming to America“. But surely that is not enough for Mr. Funny. So he roped in the legend Sir Alex Ferguson for a hilarious skit to announce the big news.
