David Harbour and Winona Ryder turned out to be the pairing Stranger Things
fans never knew they needed- until season three. With their banter-filled dynamic and love-hate chemistry, it was not just Alexei, Murray, or the Wheelers who sensed sparks flying that season. As the final season approaches, it is still unclear whether this couple, who have had nothing but bad luck in love from the start, will finally get their happy ending. But one thing is clear- Harbour is not quite ready to let go of his co-star just yet.
Harbour recently floated an interesting proposal for Netflix to co-judge a reality TV show with none other than Winona Ryder.
David Harbour pitches a new collaboration with Winona Ryder
David Harbour recently marked the Happy Sad Confused
podcast’s tenth anniversary
alongside its creator, Josh Horowitz, at the New York Comic-Con. During their chat about Stranger Things
, Horowitz asked Harbour to share a “classic Winona-ism with love
.” Harbour then revealed one of his favorite pastimes with Ryder was watching old reality shows. Their shared love for reality TV shows had him tossing out the idea to Netflix about getting him and his Stranger Things
co-star to judge one as well.

Harbour mentioned The Starlet,
a 2005 reality TV show on The WB, with a judging panel of actresses Faye Dunaway and Vivica A. Fox. “Feel free to text Netflix
,” said the 49-year-old to Horowitz, adding, “I would love to do a reality show like that one day
“. He also talked about the young actors in Stranger Things
and dropped hints about the season finale, which, by the sound of it, is shaping up to be something epic.

Harbour recalled his table read for the finale, mentioning how everyone got misty-eyed even before they had finished the script.
David Harbour teases an epic season finale for Stranger Things
During his interview with Josh Horowitz, David Harbour shared that he has never felt more satisfied filming an episode than he did with the Stranger Things
5 finale. He stressed that the team has poured their heart and soul into the final season to deliver the big finish everyone is hoping for. “It is such a great episode, and it’s such a great season. You guys will love it
,” said the actor to the crowd at Comic-Con.
Harbour also recalled that during the table read for the finale, emotions were running high. And it was Noah Schnapp, who did the most crying. “It was just uncontrollably crying waves of different people, Noah Schnapp being my favorite
,” added Harbour. And now, with this new pitch from the Black Widow
actor, maybe Netflix could find a way to keep the Stranger Things
duo- David Harbour and Winona Ryder- on its streaming platform for a little longer.
