are giving their all to make sure the ship continues to sail. Following their last hunt for the Squid Game

Season 2 footage leak, Netflix has yet another culprit to catch for the latest season 3 leaks that have gone viral all over the internet. The dilemma, however, is, to choose between the heightened yet disappointed anticipation of fans or making peace with the split milk.

As it happened, Netflix Korea appeared to kick off 2025 by leaking the release date for Squid Game

in a teaser video on YouTube, in the early hours of January 1st. The video featured Young-hee, the iconic girl robot, being transported to a new location with a new robot, Chu-00. The clip, identical to Season 2’s post-credit scene, sparked speculation about a new game in the upcoming season. The title and description hinted at a 2025 release.

Eagle-eyed fans quickly noted the release date, June 27,

and saved proof before the insiders at Squid Game realized the mistake. However, the video has since been deleted or set to private in some countries, making it unavailable to view anymore. Despite the attempt to contain the leak, fans have already shared the information, with some going all bonkers on social media and others still in angst and disbelief.

The reactions doubled over time when fans realized it was a leak following the hint in the early hours. 

Fans are not ready for Squid Game season 3, never will be

While some are not pleased with the abrupt possibility of the third installment

, others are ready to resort to anything to get the closure that they did not get in the just-released Season 2 episode 7 of the Korean franchise. Some expressed frustration with the multiple parts and seasons, feeling that the story is being dragged out. ,” pressing upon the fatigue and desire for a conclusive ending to the series.

All in all, the excitement has been tampered with disappointment, leaving fans agitated, more so over the leaks that took over the internet this morning.  

What also flamed the mass resentment was the familiarity between Season 2’s abrupt ending and Season 3’s sneaky approach.
