Streaming platforms are sprinting like possessed jack-o’-lanterns to stock their scary shelves early, but fear not, Hollywood’s theatrical cauldron is bubbling too. Studios have cast their spells well in advance, ensuring the excitement spills wherever the eyes go. And just when viewers thought it was safe to exhale, a familiar chill crept in with the comeback of Ready or Not,

which now screams Here I Come

. Most recently, two A-listers have signed the guest book at the haunted house of horror comedy. 

Now it looks like this sequel is not just knocking; it is kicking down the door to summon the screams.

Who are the Tinseltown A-listers joining Ready or Not: Here I Come?

According to Searchlight Pictures on X, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Elijah Wood have joined Ready or Not: Here I Come

with series star Samara Weaving, who reprises her role as Grace, and Kathryn Newton.

Principal photography will commence on Monday in Toronto. Besides Gellar and Wood, Shawn Hatosy, Nestor Carbonell, Kevin Durand,

and David Cronenberg

complete the ensemble.

Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy have returned to write the Ready or Not

sequel script alongside producers Tripp Vinson, James Vanderbilt, Bradley J. Fischer, and William Sherak. “We’re thrilled to be returning to the world of Ready or Not with Samara, Brett, Avery, and Andrew,”

said Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who directed the 2019 flick and are attached to direct the sequel (via Variety)

Although the season typically calls for Easter favorites,

Ready or Not

has dialed up the terror for a change of pace with more names returning to the crew.

Who else is coming back for the Ready or Not sequel?

According to Variety’s report, Ready or Not: Here I Come

is already in production, but the plot details remain under wraps. However, returning from the original horror comedy from behind the camera are production designer Andrew Stearn, photography director Brett Jutkiewicz, costume designer Avery Plewes, and makeup head of department Colin Penman. 

New arrivals include editor Jay Prychidny, hair department head Ryan Reed, and sound mix engineer Thomas Hayek. Chad Villella, Tara Farney, Greg Denny, Guy Busick, R. Christopher Murphy, Samara Weaving, and Paul Neinstein serve as executive producers. VP of Production Richard Ruiz and Creative Executive Cornelia Burleigh oversee the film for Searchlight Pictures, reporting to Heads of Production and Development DanTram Nguyen, and Katie Goodson-Thomas.
