One of Netflix’s most highly acclaimed series, Ozark will make a return for one last time tomorrow with its season 4 part 2. The fans of the crime thriller are eager to learn what awaits their favorite characters in the final episodes of the series. While the show has managed to keep a tight curtain around everything related to the plot, a recent clip shows a rather unusual meeting between Ruth Langmore (played by Julia Garner) and American rapper Killer Mike. And that meeting turned out to be a revelation for Ruth.
Ruth has been at the receiving end of a lot of traumas ever since the story began in Ozark Season 1. A lot of viewers love her with all their hearts. Hence, the way the interaction between Ruth and Killer Mike unfolded left a lot of viewers in happy tears for her. Ozark season 4 part 2 will, no doubt, be full of chaos for Ruth, and this clip gave us a little hope that she will at least have some moments to her, where she will find a little peace.
Ruth Langmore meets American rapper Killer Mike in a recent Ozark Season 4 Part 2 clip
The clip is probably from the very first episode. Following the events of the last episode of Ozark season 4 part 1, where Ruth learned the truth about her cousin Wyatt’s death, an enraged Ruth will make a trip to Chicago to get revenge for her brother. In one of the restaurants in Chicago, she will meet Killer Mike.
Knowing how big a fan Ruth is of hip-hop music, she definitely goes up to the raper and tells him how much she likes “his sh*t”. And even though the conversation they have is really brief, it is meaningful. After initially exchanging pleasantries with her, Mike asks Ruth what she is listening to, as music was blasting out of her earphones. Ruth reveals she is listening to Nas’ “N.Y. State of Mind” and both the music junkies bond over the song from the Illmatic album of the New York-based rapper.

The Nas song and what it means to Ruth Langmore and Killer Mike
While talking about the song, Ruth shares her interpretation of it. “It always feels to me like he hates it and misses it all at once and he’s only fu**ing 20.” It is pretty apparent that Ruth sees parallels between herself and Nas in that song. To which Killer Mike replies, “You know, when I listen to that record, his projects are in Queens and you can kind of see Manhattan and I always thought it was so hopeful and fu***ing cruel at the same time.”
Towards the end of the clip, Ruth asks a rather deep question to Killer Mike. She asks, “You ever wonder if he’d trade the record if it meant not having to go through all that s**t?” To which the rapper cryptically answers, “Well if you’ve got to ask the question.”
Both of them have their own interpretations of the song, and though they didn’t really bond over it, it sure gave Ruth some comfort.
Both of them come from a life where they have struggled for almost the entirety of it, and yet they have this weird love for the place they call home. Fans will definitely love to see more from this little interaction.
