.” He made it pretty clear that he has already moved on from the relationship—it happened “a while ago

,” after all—and thinks it is about time that fans let go too.

Alwyn also shared how his relationship with Swift affected his career. When the interviewer asked if he worried that Swift’s massive fame and the media frenzy around them would overshadow his own work, the 33-year-old said, “I have tried just to focus on controlling what I can control.

” Neither Swift nor Alwyn has ever publicly explained why they broke up, but that has not stopped fans from trying to figure it out.

” Alwyn had already been feeling the heat from Swifties since ‘Midnights’ dropped in October 2022. Swift released two additional tracks in the 2022 album that seemed to speak directly to their split—’Hits Different’ and ‘You’re Losing Me’. Nonetheless, now that the ex-couple is moving on to fresh starts, maybe it is time Swifties take Joe Alwyn’s advice and move on from the drama too.
