Luckily, this means Geralt will not dismiss the prophecy we just made as “nonsense.” With the spookiest holiday just around the corner, this is your chance to channel your inner Geralt of Rivia and get your own Henry Cavill costume from The Witcher.

2022 has been a massive year for Henry Cavill. From his comeback as DCEU’s Superman to a production wrap of The Witcher Season 3 to even the premiere of Enola Holmes 2, the British actor is a major pop culture phenomenon today. So it comes as no surprise that kids and adults everywhere will want to dress up as his characters on Halloween. For all the Geralt fans out there, here is a 411 to his get-up from the Netflix show.

A step-by-step guide to a Henry Cavill costume from The Witcher?

First things first, Geralt of Rivia is most recognizable by his striking silver-blonde locks flowing down just below his shoulders. It would be prudent to get the color and the texture of the hair right. The hair should not be silky smooth but a little unruly. Also, one slight change in tone toward the yellow on the color wheel and people will think you are Lucius Malfoy from Harry Potter. 

For clothes, Henry Cavill in The Witcher always sports a pair of black fitted leather pants, a relatively looser buttoned-up top, and a pair of black boots. The sleeves are rolled up to the elbow for ease of movement when wielding a sword. The signature Geralt sword is not the only prop you would need. The monster killer also dons a silver necklace with the order’s medallion featuring a wolf insignia within a circle.

If one really wants to complete the ensemble, one could even try to procure an imitation of Henry Cavill’s armor from the Netflix show. With all the above in your arsenal, your Witcher look is almost complete. However, the devil lies in the details. You could up your game by wearing colored contact lenses with a hint of twilight yellow. This will give you the edge and make you instantly identifiable as Geralt. Otherwise, you might go the whole night being mistaken as a Targaryen.
