If you consider memes a blessing, then sure, Will Smith has an abundance of blessings this year. Having their name next to the Academy Awards, be it as a guest, nominee, or winner, is an honor for every actor. However, it has been the bane of Will Smith’s existence ever since he went up on the Oscar stage, not to present or receive an award, but to give Chris Rock the smack of his life and himself a lifetime subscription to become a joke. Ever since the night at the Oscars, Smith’s exemplary three decades-long acting career is only ever remembered in association with the eventful night or with his downfall.

The actor went off the grid for many months until the release of his Apple+ movie titled Emancipation. But even the highly thought-provoking film could not help Smith’s case. On the one hand, there are fans who are tired of seeing Smith smacking Chris Rock on their timeline, and on the other, there are those who still have countless jokes up their sleeve. While it is ironic how a night that one considers a tragedy is the primary source of laughter for many others, the slapgate jokes aren’t stopping anytime soon. However, a fan on Twitter has a fresh Fresh Prince joke, and surprisingly it does not have anything to do with the night at the Oscars.

The Fresh Prince, Will Smith, is now the butt of another joke

Unlike his stage name, the Oscar slap gate jokes were getting a bit repetitive. However, a Will Smith fan on Twitter may have been staring at the actor’s face a little too long because they have discovered that Oscar the shark slayer from Shark Tale looks more like Will Smith than Will Smith himself.

Oops! it looks like you can take Will Smith out of the Oscars, but you can’t take the Oscar out of Will Smith. The video game, later adapted into a movie by DreamWorks Animation, got Will Smith to voice the character of Oscar. And it looks like the artist went a little too hard on the inspiration and made the fish look like a replica of the actor himself. Released in 2004, Shark Tale, especially Smith’s voicing of the protagonist, still remains a core memory for many.
