Will Cobra Kai Season 5 Be the Final Season? What Do Fans Want?

After a certain number of seasons, fans tend to feel like the plotlines are being dragged and grow tired of shows. This has been true for most popular shows including Game of Thrones, The Office, The Big Bang Theory, The Walking Dead and so many more. Fans certainly are happy with Cobra Kai season 4 but do they want season 5 to be the last or are they looking forward to more?

Do fans want the next season to be the last?

Like any debate out there surrounding a show’s plotlines, fans have divided views on this. Some think that the current plotlines could be wrapped up perfectly without the introduction of new ones. They think that the show should end with all the kids graduating and moving on with their lives. This seems like a great way to end the series. Considering how the actors are growing up, making their image of teenagers less and less believable by each season.

On the other hand, the majority of the fans believe that there are many burning questions the series has to answer. Attempting to sum it all up in a single season would not only leave them unanswered. It would also ruin the experience by making the Netflix series seem rushed.

Will there be another season after Cobra Kai season 5?

While many shows end up being dry or dragged out by this point, Cobra Kai season 5 and beyond seems to be receiving all the support from the fans. Even creator Jon Hurwitz has tweeted saying that the team is filming the last episodes of season 5.

He also mentioned in an interview:

“We have more beyond season 5. We are not writing to the end of the series in season 5 right now. We can’t believe we’ve filmed two seasons of the show this year. In our minds, it’s crazy to believe how far ahead of the story we are than what the audience has seen so far. Season 5 is another enormous season with a lot of new flavors and a lot of things that you haven’t seen before yet on the show. And it’s not the end.”

So it seems like the latter part of the fandom is getting what they want.

And of course, there is a part of the fandom that wants 4-5 seasons more. Add to that more sequels, a bunch of prequels, perhaps even a spin-off of this spin-off series. And well, we cannot blame them. As of now, as lucrative as the third option seems, it, unfortunately, isn’t realistic. So season 5 and a couple more is all they can expect from this Netflix Original.
