‘Wonder Woman’ Star Gal Gadot To Play Evil Queen Disney’s Live-Action ‘Snow White’ Remake

Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot has joined Disney’s upcoming live-action Snow White remake as the Evil Queen.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was Disney’s first animated project back in 1937 and it is now the latest to get the live-action treatment. The Amazing Spider-Man director Marc Webb is attached to the project with Shazam! Fury of the Gods star Rachel Zegler set to play Snow White.

Deadline now reports that Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot is in final negotiaions to play the Evil Queen in Disney’s upcoming Snow White remake. Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, best known for their work on La La Land and The Greatest Showman, are working on original music for the live-action feature with Marc Platt on board as a producer. Production on the film is expected to begin next year.

Here is the synopsis for Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman 1984:

Patty Jenkins returns to direct the next chapter in the story, which finds Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) living and working among mortals, remaining selfless in a vibrant era of excess and “having it all.” But her own values are challenged as she reunites with a lost love while stepping into the spotlight to help humanity escape a dangerous world of its own making. Also starring Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, Robin Wright and Connie Nielsen.

Directed by Patty Jenkins from a script she co-wrote with David Callaham and a treatment she developed with Geoff Johns, the film stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, Natasha Rothwell, Ravi Patel, Gabriella Wilde, Connie Nielson, and Robin Wright.
